Guess what folks? YouTube has added another innovative feature that you will change the way that we watch videos. YouTube has added a feature called annotations. This nifty feature allows you to add messages, links, and even allows you to interact with the video itself during the video. This is amazing if you are an aspiring YouTube marketer. This feature allows you to provide your website, blog, or landing page link withing the video itself!

This whole process has shortened the funneling tube that a viewer must take in order to become a customer. You know can include a link to your free product within the video itself. I believe that over time, this will help more and more marketers who are pursuing careers in video marketing the chance to make some real money!

As with everything, there are always things that you want to keep in mind. You Don't want to add annotations all over the video because in a sense this is spamming. I don't know how YouTube enforces their annotations rules, but just keep it simple. When I watch videos, often times, I see a video's thumbnail image is one that catches whoever is shooting the video in the middle of a sentence. I also see a lot of images that are irrelevant to the concept of the video. This could be costing you thousands of hits to your videos. The video picture that YouTube captures along with other things play a big part in the first impressions of your video. Remember first impressions on the Internet take place light years faster than they do in real life. So if your video already has a very boring Title and a picture that doesn't compel viewers, then it's a great possibility that your video won't get that many hits.

So how does YouTube determine what thumbnail image to use as a representation of your video. Well after a lot of testing and research, I have came up with a solution. YouTube takes a series of clips from the halfway point of your video. Then after you create your video, you will have 3 choices that you will be able to choose from that will display your video in the searches.

Now this can be a very effective YouTube marketing tool IF you know how to properly use it. What you could do is try to fit a very creative image in the middle of your video. YouTube will automatically gather several images to use as an image for your video.

Now if you really want to be creative, you can use a video editing software program to edit your videos and add your very own clip in the middle to appeal to your crowd. Windows and Mac have FREE video editing programs where you could insert this clip.

These clips can literally mean the difference from your videos getting 100 views and 10,000 views. That just shows you the power of a simple image that effectively captures someone attention. Think of this image as your website header. It's the first thing that a visitor sees and ultimately determines if they will click on your video or not. So when creating a video, try to squeeze an interesting picture or look in there on top of delivering content.

Since they are owned by Google, this would be the natural prediction, but Google isn't revealing anything as of now, but when they do I expect their stock will rise even more. This move has the potential to increase their revenus by 30% or more being as YouTube is one of the largest websites on the entire Internet. This will be a gold mine for them since there are almost 200 million YouTubers. I'm hoping that when they do implement this, I will get in on it early. That's when the secrets of YouTube marketing will really be utilized.

So I decided to compare these videos an noticed that there were at least 6 things that all of these videos had in common. Below I have listed six common aspects of these videos that received thousands of views really fast.

COMPETITION RESEARCH ON VIDEOS

THE TOP VIDEOS IN MY NICHE MARKET HAD SIX THINGS IN COMMON:

1. THEY WERE PUTTING A DOLLAR AMOUNTS THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE EARNED IN TITLE OF VIDEO. (IE...MAKE $1,000,000 ON GOOGLE IN 30 DAYS)

2. GENERAL TOPICS THAT ARE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER. (IE...SELLING ON EBAY, SELLING CLICKBANK PRODUCTS.)

3. NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE HEADLINES...(IE. MAKE 1 MILLION IN 24 HRS WITH ADSENSE.)

4. THE WORD FREE

5. USUALLY VIDEOS GET HIGH VIEWS WHEN THE WORDS “HOW TO” OR “ADD” ARE INCLUDED WITHIN THE TITLE.

6. SOME OF THE HIGHEST VIEWED TUTORIAL VIDEOS ARE AROUND 6-9 MINUTES LONG APIECE.

YouTube Marketing: The Death of Traditional Sales Copy

This is an interesting headline for this article, but it couldn't be any more true. As we all see the Internet and technology are forever changing and one change that I've noticed that could potentially make or break new online businesses is that the sales process is completely changing.

In a traditional niche market, the sale is made through a series of steps that include:

1. Introduction

2. Pre-Selling

3. Call to action

4. Sales Offer

5. Upsell

With video marketing breaking all the rules of traditional Internet marketing ethics, this process is getting incredibly short. Your potential customer gets the most important information that they need straight from the video without reading through lengthy sales copy. This also exponentially increases your conversion rates creating more income for your business.

In a recent study, implementing video sales copy increased a particular website's conversion rate from 1.7% to a remarkable 8% conversion. Now if you don't understand the power of this, that's okay because i'm going to plug some general numbers in with those conversion rates. Lets say you are selling a product online for $97. Out of every 100 visitors to your website, approximately 1.7 people are buying your product. So, for every 100 visitors to your website you are making almost $165. This conversion ration is achieved using traditional sales copy.

Now let's take a look at that 8% conversion ratio that is achieved through video sales copy. You're still selling the same product at the same price, but the only thing that has changed is how many people actually purchase your product. So with a 8% conversion rate, you are approximately making $776 per 100 visitors to your website. This is a huge spike and six figures can be reached fairly easy with these type of numbers.

So what am trying to get across to you? Simple. If you want an increase in your sales conversion ratio, then you must implement video sales copy to your website as a primary way of communicating with your potential customers.
